So, here are a few facts about me:
- I work at Lancaster University as a spatial epidemiologist, focusing on tropical diseases
- I was awarded a Medical Research Council (MRC) Population Health Scientist fellowship in 2015, which aims to explore new ways of monitoring changes in tropical disease risk over small geographical areas (schistosomiasis, sleeping sickness and lymphatic filariasis)
- I am also interested in looking at how technology can be used to improve healthcare in developing countries, which has led to me set up projects that use mobile phones and drones for gathering disease information
- I have two goals in life: to make a positive contribution to the world, and to own a dog
